Grand Canyon National Park Vacation T shirt power. The Koreans have a much stronger military than the Japanese, mainly because they have a conscripted service policy, meaning every able-bodied man must serve two years in the military. This means the Koreans have a larger army. But, on top of that, the Koreans import and develop high tech weapons full-scale, making all of the branches of its military some of the best equipped in the world. In terms of naval and aerial power, the Japanese have larger numbers, but the problem is that Japan covers a much wider space than Korea does, which means they have a lot of area to protect. This means that per square meter, the Koreans are much more militarized. Also, there’s the point that the Korean soldiers are more rigorously trained since they have to be ready for a war with North Korea at any given point in time. Also, if you include reserve troops, of which South Korea is second in number only to North Korea, Japan can’t compare in anyway.
I’d go further and just Grand Canyon National Park Vacation T shirt ban ownership by non-citizens, the Nordics do it and I don’t see why we shouldn’t either. The typical counter argument is that those people will just use companies to buy property instead but imo that’s nonsense. It may be true for some individuals but the purpose of this rule isn’t to be a panacea, the majority of foreign buyers either won’t have the time or money to make a corp to buy a house. They’ll instead spend that time buying a house in Aus or somewhere else.

I was thinking about this yesterday about people who criticize characters in horror movies. Like Grand Canyon National Park Vacation T shirt plenty of real life horror where people get theirselves jnto dumb and scary situations all the time. Why is it so implausible that these people in movies would do this shitPeople go ghost hunting for fun, why wouldn’t the dumb fuckers in the movie open a cursed book and fuck themselves why wouldn’t they investigateWhy wouldn’t teenagers go with a creepy person if they had to and get killed. I mean obviously it happens in real life. Humans make all kinds of dumb fucking decisions it’s not hard to believe they’d do it in a movie. And it has to happen in a horror movie for there to even be a movie.
I kind of do find myself laughing at certain parts of horror movies, especially during parts that are sudden and super gory. Doesn’t necessarily mean that I think something is badly done or that I’m so hard nothing will scare me anymore, but usually comes from imagining the special effects work that goes into those moments of sudden gore. The head explosion scene in Scanners, the chestburster in Alien, the cliff scene in Midsommar, all of these elicited an excited laugh from me while also being seminal examples of well done gore fx work.I’ve Grand Canyon National Park Vacation T shirtfound people do this when watching more extreme/disturbing scenes? Like they think it’s a way of showing it doesn’t get to them or something? But to me it’s much more obvious as a sign that they are really, really struggling and are trying to disassociate.I once went to a tiny private showing of ‘The Lost’ (based on the Jack Ketchum novel) and a dude close to the front row was laughing it up like a loon. I could hear the desperation warbling through his voice. It’s one thing to laugh at schlocky fun, but I think laughing at more serious horror is a sign that someone doesn’t understand the genre, really, or perhaps that it really isn’t for them and they probably shouldn’t consume it. They are not having fun.
